Beer specials

Surely you can’t go wrong in the city of beer when looking for draft Pilsner Urquell 12°. If you’re interested in trying out some different beer styles, visit the Pivotečka beer bar. Here you have both draft and bottled beer options, from both the Czech Republic and abroad. At Pivstro – Brewhemian Beer Bistro you’ll experience seven draft specialty beers, primarily supplied by local breweries. The cosy, retro beer café of Francis can be found right in the heart of Pilsen, and it’s here you can make your choice from a fridge full of Belgian beers.

Drinks and a good time

Head over to Zapa bar for a stylish mixed drink. It’s here you’ll be able to choose from a wide assortment of cocktails, made with quality ingredients. You can also see how you like the refreshing drinks served in the alternative and modern environment of the MōōVEMENT cultural bar. The scene is only enhanced by the accompanying music programme, provided by local DJs. If you’re looking to warm up your insides after a long walk through the city, check out the Družba café, which adjusts its menu according to the current season. Be sure to try both their original alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Every Pilsen native knows that a visit to Café Regner means great coffee during the day and delicious drinks in the evening. Locals also come here for the pleasant atmosphere and regular exhibitions. Plus, local DJs play here on Fridays and Saturdays.

Wine lovers, too, will find what they’re looking for

Even though Pilsen is the Mecca of beer, the city also offers great options when it comes to wine. Make your way to the stylish Na břehu Rhôny (At the banks of Rhône) wine bar to try French wine accompanied with French-style meals. Stop by the Merlot – Zastávka wine shop and bar to enjoy a glass, or bottle, as well as something good to eat. You can then continue on by heading to the nearby Nevinný bar to taste from their wide assortment of barrel-aged wine. Next, the widely popular wine shop of Hrozen is where you go to try their carefully selected Moravian and foreign wines, or partake in one of their regularly held wine tastings.

Dance the night away

As soon as you decide it’s time to go dancing, you’ll find that Pilsen has many music clubs of various music styles for you to choose from. If you like oldies, then head over to the parties at Žumberska stodola or Hotel Continental’s Music Club. You can enjoy the club atmosphere and concerts of every kind at Buena Vista or the Anděl music bar. You’ll run into local DJs the most at the Dominik lounge bar and Mazaný králíček. Rock and blues fans are sure to find a good time at the Jazz Rock Café. And last but not least, you can go to clubs PH+ and Pantheon for parties that never end, lively dance floors and both RnB and other popular dance music.
