The Weekend of Open Ateliers
On the last weekend in September in and around Pilsen, the doors to ateliers, galleries, art schools, and other places where art is made or displayed will open. This is a great opportunity to meet everyone creative in Pilsen, get to know their creative techniques, and maybe even try to make something yourself. Art workshops will also be prepared, including one for the popular sculptures made of aerated concrete, creating a mosaic, or, for example, painting using various techniques. The significant galleries and museums in Pilsen will also open their doors for free, as will the University of West Bohemia’s Department of Fine Art Education within the Institute of Artistic and Educational Studies and other ateliers from private artists.
