Gallery of Jiří Trnka
The Gallery of Jiří Trnka is a small gallery in the heart of the city on Republic Square, named after the Pilsen native, famous artists, and puppeteer Jiří Trnka. Here you’ll find both an exhibition hall and a sales gallery with works from regional artists.

In the Gallery of Jiří Trnka, you’ll discover exhibited pieces primarily from regional artists as well as the creation of members of the Union of Visual Artists of Pilsen (Unie výtvarných umělců Plzně). In the sales exhibits, you’ll find pictures, drawings, sculptures, art prints, ceramics, jewellery, applied graphics, and design.
The Union of Visual Artists of Pilsen
The Union of Visual Artists (UVU) in the region of Pilsen is an organization associating artists in the region who deal with any aspect of professional art-related activities. It includes painters, sculptures, designers, creators in the field of applied arts, and theorists. All 76 UVU members are highly active in Pilsen’s cultural life. Every year the Union holds about forty exhibitions not only in the Gallery of Jiří Trnka but also in the Pilsen circuits.

The Gallery of Jiří Trnka can be found on Republic Square, not far from the Pilsen Municipal Gallery, Pilsen City Hall, and the Tourist Information Centre.
