All-day breakfast

Pappa Coffee

Breakfast is eaten all day at Pappa Coffee! It’s here at this friendly family café, located not far from Pilsen’s main square, that you can enjoy great breakfasts, fresh juices and a selection of coffee (the coffee is actually roasted right on the spot), any day of the week. Follow Pappa Coffee on Facebook and never miss out on their themed Saturday brunches.

A tandem coffee experience with Le Frenchie and the Fresh Bar

Last but not least – two closely related cafés in the centre of Pilsen. You’ll be looking to visit the Le Frenchie café during the summer because of their fully equipped outdoor dining, which makes for the ideal place to enjoy your coffee or meal. You can choose from the café’s two branches: In the Smetanovy Sady park or on the corner of Pražska Street on Republic Square. On the square, you’ll also find The Fresh Bar where they not only have coffee-based specialties but also smoothies, fresh juices, and other healthy food options.

Best egg-based breakfast

Café & Restaurant hotel Continental

You can make your way to one of the oldest hotels in Pilsen for a buffet-style breakfast, right in the centre of the city. We would, however, recommend trying their breakfast option in this First Republic-style café, where you can order classics such as poached eggs and eggs Benedict.

Enjoy Coffee

All you morning birds out there will be grateful for Enjoy Coffee, which opens its doors every weekday at 7 a.m. (9 a.m. on weekends) and provides a menu with a little something for everyone. Every day they serve fresh quiche, panini, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pancakes and toast with avocado, poached egg or smoked salmon at affordable prices.

Our tip:

Traditional farmer’s markets are held on Pilsen’s Republic Square from March until the end of December. Here you can go every Saturday morning for some fresh coffee and other products from local farmers.

Inventive breakfasts

Walter: Brunch, Coffee & Drinks

At the Walter café, you’ll find much more than coffee. Firstly, we’d like to warn you that the breakfasts at this place will very easily tide you over until the afternoon. We recommend the poached eggs with bacon and avocado as well as any one of Walter’s open-faced sandwiches.

Kafec Plzeňský

There’s now a branch of Kafec in Pilsen. You can make your way here for a truly custom-made breakfast, feel free to choose anything you want. If you’re feeling a bit sweet one day, we would recommend the fresh waffles, which are said to be the best in the city. They, too, can be combined in any breakfast meal you would like.

Arnie‘s Bistro

The modern design of Arnie’s Bistro, located in the centre of the city, tempts every passer-by to come in and try something off their original breakfast menu. From 8 a.m. you can enjoy their hardy shakshouka, a delicious meal consisting of oatmeal, carrot waffles or ricotta pancakes.

Where to go with children

Café a restaurant Kačaba

On weekdays you can get your hands on a great breakfast at the Kačaba restaurant. Here they serve the kind of meals that make you feel good about your choice after you leave. And that’s primarily because this restaurant likes to help the community by employing people with with special needs. In addition, while waiting for your meal, you can pass the time by playing a board game and your children can entertain themselves in the restaurant’s play area.

Il Mio Caffé

II Mio is a cosy café in the centre of the city that is perfectly suited to mothers with children. Here your little ones can play in the children’s corner, while the adults enjoy a great breakfast, home-made cakes and the peaceful, family atmosphere. You can even sit outside in the café’s outdoor terrace during the hot summer months.
