Pilsen Festival of Tap Dancing
As per tradition during the first half of May, this year’s tenth instalment of the festival will see Pilsen transform into the capital city of tap. The dancers’ tap shoes hitting the floor will be heard far and wide, primarily from the stages on the streets in the city centre, Měšťanská beseda, and the cultural area DEPO2015. The festival comes with the goal of introducing visitors to tap dancing, which isn’t just a performance art meant for theatre stages but also a free-time activity perfect for every generation. The programme will include improv tap, workshops, and examples of the work of tap dances and schools from home and abroad.
