The Radyně Celebrations of Wine

The significant Czech king and emperor Charles IV founded Radyně Castle, which was originally named Karlskrone after its namesake. And, as we already know, he also laid the foundations for growing quality grapevines and was instrumental in the development of wine-making in Bohemia. That explains why wine celebrations are regularly held in the old castle’s outer walls, which are meant to introduce visitors to wine and wine-growing in the Czech Republic. As part of their admission, every visitor of age can look forward to receiving an original wine glass featuring the city’s emblem, which they can use to taste the various wines made by the individual winegrowers themselves. Admission is free for children.
