Farmapark u Toma

Nearby Pilsen in the town of Ledce (approx. 5 km north of Pilsen) lies the cosy Farmapark u Toma. Here you’ll find more than 20 different kinds of animals. The farm park was also designed as a petting zoo, meaning you can enter most of the pens and meet the animals face to face, pet them, and feed them a treat purchased from the machine near the enclosure.

What sort of animals live at the farm park?

Over 70 animals frolic around the farm park’s pens. Here you’ll find several species of sheep and goats, namely Cameroon and Valais Blacknose sheep and Anglo-Nubian and Dutch Dwarf goats. At the farm park, you’ll also discover ponies that children can ride, the llamas Karl and Pepina, the cows Chocolate and Vanilla, pigs, and fallow deer. The Flemish Giants are also popular amongst children – they aren’t actually giants, but rather large rabbits. During your visit, you’re sure to also run into Polish chickens and Silkies, two beautiful breeds of chickens, as well as the farm park’s most exotic inhabitants – the porcupines and Alvin the kangaroo.

What else will you find here?

Aside from the cute animals, the farm park also offers a relaxation zone, where you can enjoy some coffee, homemade lemonade, and a burger or pizza from the local bistro in peace. At the same time, your children can play on the children’s playground, the climbing frames, the air trampoline, and the sandpits. And when the weather’s not right, there’s also a children’s corner under a covered pergola.

Throughout the year, many events are also held at the farm park, including everything from recreational paths to themed days. Every day at 11h and 16h, you can join the commented feeding times, where the handler will tell you more about the animals.
